The Summer of Wellness is in full swing at Pilgrim Faith! Check out these upcoming events. All are invited, along with your family and friends:
– Healthy Cooking 101: Small Steps for Big Nutrition. Libby Whitney and Megan Whitney will present a discussion and demonstration of how to make simple changes and substitutions for a healthier diet. All are welcome to join them in the Colonial Hall kitchen Sunday, June 25, from 12-1 p.m. There is no charge, but a free will donation will be taken to offset the cost of food for the event. Bring some friends and find out how healthy food can also be delicious!
– Weekly Walking Club: Church members of all ages and fitness levels are invited to walk together for fun, fellowship and fitness. The Walking Club meets Tues days evenings at 7 p.m. and Friday mornings at 7:30 a.m. We walk for 30-45 minutes.
– Summer of Wellness Wrap-Up Party: Close out the Summer of Wellness on Aug. 20! We will have a healthy potluck lunch, announce the winners of the Biggest Loser competition and play some kickball and other games outside.
The end of the Summer of Wellness does not mean the end of wellness at Pilgrim Faith! Is there a wellness topic that you would like to learn more about in the fall? Would you like to be part of the Wellness Ministry planning? Do you have a great idea for an upcoming program? Please contact Jacqui Cook (email@example.com) or Libby Langevin (firstname.lastname@example.org) and share your questions, comments and ideas!
