Dear Friends in Faith at Pilgrim Faith U.C.C.

I arrived, along with my canine pal, Jazmine as well as my “stuff” in full on Thursday night.  It is a joy to finally be here after the weeks of anticipation in preparing to serve as your interim minister.  I look forward to meeting each of you in the weeks to come!

Our worship this Sunday will be on the theme of REAL FOOD.  The scripture text John 6:24-35 in which the crowds are following Jesus and seeking more answers about who he is.  His response:  “I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty”.

In preparation for our time together, I invite you to ponder the role of food in our life.  Food is intended to nourish our bodies for well-being; food is also often part of sharing friendship and fellowship.  There is healthy food.  And, there is food that is not; we often call it junk food.    Do you have a favorite one?  If so bring a bag, carton, or box of it with you on Sunday.  I’ll have an empty box of peanut M&M’s with me.  See you then!!

Grace and peace,
Rev. Lark
