Oak Lawn Clergy and Religious Workers Association

Oak Lawn area pastors and other religious workers meet regularly as the Oak Lawn Clergy and Religious Workers Association to enhance community and cooperation among faith communities and religious and pastoral leaders in Oak Lawn. This includes, but is not limited to, joint worship, study and service opportunities as well as inter-faith dialogue.

Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ of Oak Lawn and its pastor have been active participants in the Oak Lawn Clergy and Religious Workers Association since it was formed in 1998. The Association has held Christian unity services involving many of the Oak Lawn church and Martin Luther King Day celebrations. They have actively supported the homeless shelter programs of South Suburban PADS and BEDS Plus and have partnered with local Muslims for an ongoing interfaith dialogue and summer One Community: One Meal gatherings that bring together Christians, Muslims and local persons who are homeless or in need to share a meal together.
