ALL K-5th Grade — We are about to engage in our busy holiday schedule at church, we will only be able to meet
one time in November in Pilgrim Hall from 11:00am to 1:00pm. November 12th – Time to learn about the Thanksgiving holiday through a fun game. We will also have some fall themed activities and crafts as well as fun movement activities. Hope to see you all there!
S.P.L.A.T. – Spreading Peace, Love And Truth – is for students in grades six through eight.
Please welcome Bob Cook and Chris Cook as the new leaders of our junior high youth group, SPLAT. The Cooks
— who aren’t related! — each have kids in the group, and have had kids go through it, and they recognize its importance in building our kids’ spiritual, social and personal connections as they start their approach to confirmation during their freshmen year of high school.
All middle-school aged kids are welcome to Pilgrim Hall on Sat., Nov. 18 from 5-7 p.m. for a SPLAT youth group
get-together. Bring your friends as we play games (including that old favorite — sardines!), enjoy fellowship
and take a moment to chat about our lives. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our senior highs meet a couple times a month for fellowship, discussion, activities and service to others.
[EXPAND Bell Choir]Young people age 6th grade through 12th grade are welcome to play in the hand bell choir. This group learns how to play a four octave set of Schulmerich hand bells, as well as reading music, counting music, following a director, and being a team player. They are scheduled to play at least once a month and have enhanced the service with music at every point, be it a Hymn, Offertory, Prelude or Communion music. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings following the service for one hour, September through April. Please contact the church office if interested.
“UP” Youth Organization
The Open and Affirming committee is proud to announce that the youth organization “UP” will be returning this fall
beginning October 8th at 2:00 pm and will be meeting every 2nd Sunday at the same time.
UP is a safe place where young people in the LGBT community can come and discuss issues, share ideas and hang out without any pressure or judgments. UP is a chaperoned, safe place for teens and youth in our area who may also be questioning their sexual identity.
It is open to all young people of all faiths and walks of life who are interested. If you know someone who could
benefit from such a group, please pass this information on. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Anna Rodriguez (708) 668-8279
