Rev. Daniel Sather
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and have I lived in Wisconsin, Illinois, Maryland, Indiana, and Ohio. I graduated from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education. I earned my Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis.
I am married to Rev. Carly Stucklen Sather who is the pastor at First Congregational Church in La Grange, Illinois. We are the parents of two adult children, Andrew and Aaron. Andrew is married to his wife Laurie and is the father of our grand-daughter, Zoe. He works as the Director of information technology for a non-profit agency that works with Foster Care, adoption, and Opiate addictions. Our youngest son, Aaron works at University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN. as an administrator for the school’s technology network.
I have been ordained thirty-five years and have served UCC congregations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Indiana, and Illinois. I have also been trained as a transitional pastor for congregations in transition. I am active in the Chicago Metropolitan Association and currently serving on the Church and Ministry Committee of the Association. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, theater, running, gardening, and I am the happy, contented owner of four cats. Their names are Nitro, Calypso, Pippin Jack, and Gaelin. I am looking forward to serving Pilgrim Faith in Oak Lawn as your designated interim pastor.
